FAQ
Does a sports massage or deep tissue massage hurt?
Because this massage targets deeper muscle layers and stubborn knots, you may feel some “good pain” or discomfort during the treatment. However, it should never be unbearable. You are always in control just tell your therapist if the pressure is too strong, and they will adjust it immediately.
Can I get a sports massage even if I am not an athlete?
Absolutely! You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from it. If you have chronic lower back pain, a very stiff neck from working at a desk, or just prefer a very firm, strong massage, this treatment is perfect for you.
Should I get this massage before or after my workout/hike?
We highly recommend getting this massage after your intense physical activity. It will help flush out toxins and lactic acid, reduce muscle soreness (DOMS), and speed up your recovery process.
What is the difference between Sports Massage and Traditional Thai Massage?
Traditional Thai massage involves a lot of yoga-like stretching and acupressure across the whole body. A Sports/Deep Tissue massage is much more targeted; the therapist will spend more time intensely working on specific problem areas (like tight calves or a stiff lower back) using strong, sustained pressure.
Will my muscles feel sore after the massage?
It is completely normal to feel slightly sore or tender for 1-2 days after a deep tissue or sports massage, similar to how you feel after a good workout. We highly recommend drinking plenty of water after your session to help flush the released toxins from your body.
